Requirements

We're looking for candidates with at least 2 years experience working in the outdoor industry.

You will be required to demonstrate a high duty of care to all clients, including the emotional, social, mental and physical welfare of each individual.

You will need to be fit, stable individuals as they will be required to keep up with active students for the duration of each program (1-5 days).

Active Education is situated on a wide bend on Dora Creek, just outside Morisset in the Lake Macquarie area.The immediate water access is the biggest asset to the centre as it gives the 100 acres block a particularly fertile environment and easy access to all the water activities. It is also situated close to the Watagan Mountains where expeditions and natural rock climbing and abseiling are conducted.

Activities

We have an incredible range of activities at Active Education. Students can bushwalk in the Watagan Moutains, camp overnight, and compete in natural rock face abseiling and climbing.

All the activities are designed to specifically challenge students in different ways. Some activities are designed to instill confidence at heights, some are designed to promote more positive teamwork skills. All activities, however, are different and the effect upon each student will depend on the individual way they interacted with the activity.
