The Haut Lac International Centre is now recruiting for our winter programme from December 27th 2008 to April 5th 2009.
We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic staff to work with school groups from the UK and Ireland as well as children from all over the world. The student’s ages range from 8 to 18.
We want our staff to focus all their energy on the students and their needs. When working with the kids the more of your personality you put in to your work the greater the response from the kids and the more rewarding the experience for everyone.
Responsibilities:
* Organising and running the ski day for the students as directed by the Manager and Ski Team Leaders or helping with alternative activities if skiing is not possible
* Ensuring assessment of students ski ability in order to award grades
* Performing ski maintenance/fittings according to the timetable
* Campus duty
* Driving minibuses if qualified
* Organising and running activities and excursions for the students as directed by the Sports co-ordinator
* Performing ski maintenance/fittings according to the timetable
* On rotation working a week as a full time monitor – helping out on the slopes for one part of the day free skiing for the other half and working the evening running activities
* Supervising students at all times when on duty
* Maintaining discipline among the students
* Night patrol on rotation when working as a monitor
* Promoting the Centre positively to clients |

* Ski qualification e.g. - BASI, PSIA, NZIA, CASI
* First Aid
Other skills/abilities that will strengthen your application:
* Minibus license/experience driving minibuses
* Other language skills
* Other sports qualifications
* Experience working in camps
* Experience/qualifications working with children |
