Looking for a job in the French Alps this winter?
The successful applicant’s primary responsibilities will be for the host-cover cook role:
To serve food, clean bedrooms and the chalet in general, offer great hospitality, service and assistance to guests to ensure their holiday exceeds their expectations, ski hosting and that the chalet is run efficiently.
There is a total of 3 team members. It is of utmost importance to us that you have the skills and experience to cover for the Chef should they fall ill, become injured etc.
* Generally, our chalet teams are quite small so all team members must be prepared to take a hands-on approach to every aspect of the work. From snow clearing to ski hosting, a professional yet fun loving approach is crucial.
* You will assist in preparation of, and in serving, breakfast, afternoon tea, and a 3 course evening meal. Cleaning bedrooms, the communal areas and after dinner clean up is a daily routine.
* You will be doing this 6 days a week in one of our chalets that vary in size (from 12 to 21 guests) with the assistance of other chalet hosts/kitchen staff working with you.
* You will be asked to undertake the chalet food shopping.
* A high level of personal hygiene and enthusiasm for the role is required.
* Fun-loving personalities who love to help /perform their daily chores/make conversation & spend time with guests, without being prompted, are the only type of people who work with us. |

* The Chalet Host potentially covering for the chef role should be creative, hardworking and have lots of stamina.
* The Chalet Host covering for the chef role must have confidence to cook for up to 21 adults along with a passion for cooking and presentation. All applicants will be asked to submit a 6-day menu plan.
* Applicants should ideally hold a relevant cooking qualification and demonstrate significant experience in chalet environments or professional kitchens.
* You must have extremely high work standards, be customer-focused and self motivated.
* Whilst previous chalet experience is not a necessity, it is a definite advantage and those without experience need to show they can offer something special to our team.
* All applicants must have a full UK National Insurance Number UK bank account and valid Passport. |
