Auchengillan Outdoor Centre and the Clyde Regional Scout Council seek 2 Instructors to take responsibility for activity instruction, assisting with centre maintenance and general administration.

Instructors will report to the Deputy Centre Manager / Senior Instructor.

The duties of the post include:

• Instructing Centre user groups in activities appropriate to qualifications 
• Undertaking appropriate training as required by the Centre
• Assisting with the administration and operation of the Centre, including processing bookings for user groups 
• Assisting with the preparation of midweek programmes
• Maintaining and updating personal training records
• Assisting with equipment maintenance and safety checks
• Assisting with the monitoring and training of the "trainee Instructors" * Promotion of good camping standards at the Centre
• Assisting with general maintenance of the Centre and its facilities
• Assisting with Reception duties and promoting the welfare of user groups
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the accommodation provided by the Centre for staff use
• Performing such other duties as are reasonably required by the Centre Management and are consistent with the operational management of the Centre
• Participation in the rota of overnight "Duty Instructor" role as an emergency point of contact for centre users
• Deputising for the Senior Instructor when necessary
