Description

We are currently recruiting for our Skipper positions available in Croatia for Summer 2011 ONLY.

The reason for this is a work permit application process that takes place for all sucessful Skippers. This needs to be begun in October so we are starting to recruit now.

The positions positions available in Croatia are for Flotilla Skippers from our Dubrovnik & Kremik Bases. The positions are for a full season from April until November.

Your main duties will centre around the yachts, the base and ports of call. Working hours vary and you must be flexible to cover operational requirements. In this fulfilling and exciting role you will be required to be responsible for and undertake the following duties:Flotilla

Presentation and maintenance of yachts
Full first day briefing to the entire flotilla
Safety of all clients throughout the week
Daily briefings to clients on route and weather information
Safe Mooring of all yachts each day
Assisting the lead crew with all aspects of running the flotilla and socialising with guests
Engineer and Host will be recruited locally in Croatia

Bareboat

Yacht preparation and cleaning
Deliveries, call outs and maintenance
Skippering charters of upto 9 clients at a time
Base support when not on charter

General

All yacht preparation on turnaround days
Briefings
Sharing knowledge of local area
Advising on sailing questions
Assisting with the organisation of group meals, BBQ's and punch parties
Any other duties as directed by the Base Manager

Requirements

Your attributes

RYA Offshore Yacht Master with Commercial Endorsement or equivalent
Ability to work under pressure and make difficult decisions
Experience in a customer focused environment
Socialable and positive personality
Strong organisational skills
Happy to complete all paperwork for Croatian work permits, including a police record check
