Description
Bolsover District Council are recruiting a Manager for Pleaseley Vale Outdoor Activity Centre.

The successful applicant will ensure that the centre and associated centre based and outreach adventure activity programmes are operated safely, efficiently and effectively to a high standard of customer service.

Additionally there is an essential requirement to maintain a current Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) Licence at all times on behalf of the Council to enable all centre based and off site adventure activity programmes to be delivered safely.

Duties include: the general day to day management of Pleasley Vale Outdoor Activity Centre and its related physical resources/environments, together with the implementation and review of all operating financial and administrative systems and procedures relating to the Centre including its related physical resources/environments and off site adventure activity programmes.

Requirements
You should have proven track record of working in the adventure activities sector in a management/senior supervisory capacity together with the ability to demonstrate a proven track record of developing adventure activities within the community in order to effectively carry out daily duties.

You will also hold a BCU Level 3 Instructor qualification or above in kayaking and/or canoeing together with two other NGB Instructor awards from any of the following:-

Single Pitch award.
MLTB Summer Mountain Leader award.
GNAS Archery award.
A qualification in mountain biking.

Applicants must be willing to undertake a management qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
