Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a key part of the Scout Activity Centres team.
The Scout Association operates seven centres across the UK with this position being based at Hawkhirst which is on the shores of Kielder Water in Northumberland.
This job is all about supporting and motivating a small team of staff some of whom will be long term volunteers. As a member of the Scout Activity Centres team you will be working in a small team alongside our international and local volunteer staff to ensure our broad range of guests, which includes Scout, Youth, School and Corporate groups, get the best out of their day or residential experience.
Not only will you be providing excellent informal outdoor learning experiences but also providing feedback to instructing staff to ensure they develop their own skills.
Requirements
The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time as we really drive forward what we do, you will need a real passion for working with young people in the great outdoors to provide fun, educational and safe adventurous experiences.
Candidates will hold at least a Level 2 Paddle sports Coach and Dingy Instructor or Senior Sailing Instructor.
