Description

The most popular job at PGL – if you’re full of energy then this is the role for you! Our Activity Instructor / Group Leaders (AI/GL) combine instructing duties with guest care to ensure our guests have the best time possible with us.

As an AI/GL, you'll introduce guests to a number of activities and deliver group taster sessions in our core activities, including orienteering, abseiling, climbing, fencing, motorsports, ropes challenge courses, initiative exercises and archery as well as helping to organise and participate in evening entertainments.

This is a fantastic opportunity to share your love for sports and the outdoors with our young guests.

You must be available to work for a very minimum of 12 weeks to be considered for this role; however preference will be given to applicants who can work for at least 20 weeks.

This role offers a great deal of variety, not just because you will find yourself doing lots of different activities, but because you will also find yourself organising evening entertainment or liaising with visiting teachers and party leaders.

All of our Activity Instructor / Group Leaders undergo a comprehensive training programme when they first join PGL. Your aptitude and personal preference during this course, together with skills and experience given on your application, will determine whether your role will be made up mainly of instructing activities, or more pastoral duties, which may include a mix of instructing and organising evening entertainments.

As a first year Activity Instructor/Group Leader, you will be on our Foundation Programme and will be working towards a Level 2 Certificate in Introductory Work in the Outdoors.

Make 2014 your PGL season.
