Description

Woodrow High House is one of London Youth’s two outstanding residential centres. We work with more than 6,500 young visitors a year, away from their normal environment with a profound effect on personal and social development.

This role is strongly developmental. We are and always will be a work in progress, proud of our achievements but never resting on them. Across London Youth we are growing and improving. This is a crucial role at a critical stage of our development and a fantastic opportunity for you to help lead further growth. In this you will be supported by and work closely with senior staff across London Youth.

Your team is committed and talented and you will lead with energy, authority and the highest degree of professionalism. There is scope within the role to work closely with our Head of People to further evolve processes and a culture of modern management and you will relish this opportunity.

Owing to the nature of the work, the post holder is required to live on site. Accommodation is provided in a self-contained house. When on duty, meals are provided.

Contracted hours are 40 per week. We are genuinely committed to flexible working and think that people who have a healthy balance between work and leisure are more effective than those who do not. Equally, there is an expectation that for senior staff, hours worked are those required to get the job done and at times this may exceed 40 hours and include weekends and evenings

Requirements

If you are passionate about helping young people be the best they can be with strong management skills and the ability to inspire those around you, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
