The MSc Outdoor and Adventurous Activities is an exciting new course which has been developed in response to the significant growth of outdoor and adventurous activities. It provides an opportunity to acquire academic knowledge, leadership and personal development through the outdoors with applications to a range of personal and organisational settings. The course draws on 25 years of teaching outdoor and adventurous activity modules at Leeds Metropolitan University.

Spend 6 weeks in the spectacular French alps and raft on some of the best alpine rivers in the world. You will qualify with a worldwide recognised qualification and be coached by some of the most experienced raft guides in the industry. You will work towards essential raft guide qualifications through The Scottish Rafting Association, The International Rafting Federation, Rescue 3 – Swift water rescue technician and Emergency First aid.

Learn the essential skills in 18 weeks to become a watersports instructor. The course is based at Stithians Lake near Falmouth but includes a week in a coastal location and two weeks in Egypt and teaches the foundation skills of powerboat handling and first aid, leading to the basic disciplines of windsurfing, dinghy sailing and kayaking. On completing the course you will graduate with three recognised instructor qualifications in dinghy sailing, windsurfing and kayaking
