We are recruiting for enthusiastic & energetic Activity Instructors for our 4 unique & exciting national Activity Centre venues based in Derbyshire, Lancashire, Hampshire & Sussex.

Our Activity Instructors are the public face of Girlguiding. You will work as part of a team of staff and volunteers at one of our amazing Activity Centres, providing our guests with a range of exciting outdoor activities. These sessions provide  hands-on taster experiences and include everything from canoeing and kayaking to rock climbing and zip wire! There’s something for everyone at Girlguiding!

Some of the things that you will be responsible for are:

Setting up and running a wide range of activities with a variety of guests
Maintenance of equipment on site
Carrying out safety checks
Making sure the Centre is clean and tidy

About you 

Essential requirements:
You are passionate and enthusiastic about what you do
You have the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with both adults and children
You have excellent customer care skills

Desirable requirements:
You have previous activity instructor experience
You have the confidence to demonstrate new skills to a group of participants (children/adults)

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete a DBS check as part of the pre-employment vetting checks.

For insurance purposes applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old.


Desirably, you will hold 2 NBG qualifications or recognised equivalent (BCU, SPA, UKCC Level 1, BFA grade 1, CWA, GNAS). Girlguiding will train you to acquire the relevant qualifications.

Please still apply for this role if you do not hold any qualifications as Girlguiding can provide training to obtain these qualifications!
