Description

We are looking for a sales orientated individual to join our team based in the stunning Aravis mountains.  The primary aim of this role is to deal with customer enquiries and endeavour to convert them to bookings – ensuring they experience a high level of personal service -synonymous with the Ski Weekender brand - and that you propose the right options for their requirements and try to “make the sale”.  You will be responsible for answering enquiries both on the telephone and by email and assisting guests with their pre-trip administration. Consequently you will need to demonstrate a great telephone manner as well as key board skills, along with an attention to detail for all elements of their booking.

Key responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls, emails and online bookings
  • Reply to customer correspondence – timely & professionally
  • Assist customers in choosing and booking holidays
  • Use systems to make reservations, administer bookings/queries, make amendments, payments etc. Provide assistance to guests in preparing for their trip and dealing with their queries
  • Competently and professionally dealing with customer service issues in line with company policy
  • Maintain 100% accurate record keeping for payments, operational info and admin.

At ease working with numbers to work out accurate pricing

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Capacity to co-ordinate and prioritise multiple tasks

Competent on Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Highly motivated, positive in attitude and committed to business growth
Adaptable in approach, embraces change positively and is flexible around the needs of a business
Desire to develop product knowledge of Ski Weekender

Requirements

This is a fixed period contract for up to 6 months from October/ November to end March / April, though there may be the possibility of the role becoming permanent.

The role would ideally suit somebody with a background in a customer facing sales role with an interest in entering the hospitality/travel and tourism sector.

You will be able to demonstrate a track record in a sales environment deploying excellent verbal and written communication.
