A recent study conducted by the University of Essex highlights the benefits of "green exercise" or time spent outdoors The research showed that this type of activity can have a positive effect on self esteem and mental health, particularly for younger people.
The Green Exercise Research Team at University of Essex includes specialists in physiology, health and well-being, environmental sustainability, community engagement and behaviour change. They have worked on a wide range of research projects from international-level reviews through to individual project analysis.
