Surf Snowdonia Plans Approved

Plans to develop a hotel and adventure centre at Surf Snowdonia in Dolgarrog have been given the go ahead with the potential to create over 100 new jobs. The £10m investment will see the building of a 106-room hotel in Dolgarrog as well as a five-storey activity building.

The new development gives Surf Snowdonia the opportunity to develop more year-round business for the attraction built at the former aluminium works site in Conwy Valley, Wales.

Surf Snowdonia's Andrew Ainscough said: “Since we opened four years ago, we attracted over 600,000 visitors with the attendant spin-off to all manner of businesses...At peak times, we provide around 140 full and part time jobs...In terms of employment, the development will provide 145 new full and part time jobs”
