The UK Department for Transport and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office have now published updated guidance on travel abroad.

The Department for Transport have listed 59 countries which you will not be required to self-isolate when you return from them if you arrive back to England. Guidance for Northern Ireland, Scotland & Wales guidance to follow.

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office has published a separate list of 67 countries and territories that will be exempt from its global advisory against all non-essential travel from 4th July. Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) travel advice is based on risks to British nationals, including in-country public health assessments.

These lists do not take account of what happens when you get to the country. Restrictions may still apply to UK nationals when they arrive in the country.

Research by The PC Agency and AudienceNet reveals the following destinations are currently open to British travellers without restrictions:

Andorra
Belgium
Croatia
Czech Republic
Denmark
Faroe Islands
France
Germany
Gibraltar
Greenland
Italy
Liechtenstein
Luxembourg
Malta (from July 15)
Monaco
Netherlands
Poland
Reunion
San Marino
Serbia
South Georgia and Sandwich Islands
Spain
Switzerland
Turkey
Vatican City
