PGL, founded in 1957, operates at 25 outdoor activity centres across the UK, France and Australia. We are the UK’s leading provider of residential activity holidays and educational courses for young people.

We are currently looking to appoint a Night Support Team Leader at Boreatton Park, our activity centre nestled in the Shropshire countryside. Boreatton Park is a 250 acre site boasting excellent facilities and can accommodate 1000+ Guests and 300+ staff.
9.5 hour shift pattern 4 days on and 3 days off, accommodtaion available if required.

You will be responsible for ensuring the centre is safe and secure at all times whilst on duty, delivering excellent customer service. You will be in a role that requires you to respond to emergency situations, including responsibilities for first aid.

  • Key responsibilities include:
    Ensuring the centre is safe and secure by carrying out regular patrols of the buildings and grounds;
    Being the first point of contact for guests and staff between the hours of 9.00pm and 7.30am, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered at all times;
  • Responding to any emergency situations and playing an active role in their management;
  • Ensuring tasks relating to compliance are completed and records kept accordingly;
  • Ensuring that all guests have a positive and professional experience when contacting Night Support;
  • Responding to any guests’ problems/queries quickly and efficiently;
  • Supporting and enforcing noise curfews to limit impact on guest accommodation areas;
  • Effectively communicating with other departments, ensuring issues are handed over effectively;
  • Line management of Night Support Assistants or other staff tasked with working overnight.


The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:

  • IT literacy;
  • A proactive approach to team work;
  • The ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal);
  • The ability to work individually, managing and prioritising your own tasks.

Successful applicants are required to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure, which PGL will pay for. You need to possess the legal right to live and work in the UK to be considered for this position.
